Respect, Responsibility and Relevance

• Respect – "... Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.... love your neighbor as yourself…" Matthew 22:37,38

• Responsibility – “Carry each other’s burdens…this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2

• Relevance – “…Let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak…” James 1:19

Worship, Connect, and Serve

• Worship = Christ-centered living

• Connect = Church-oriented living

• Serve = Community-focused living

• God Is = God exists eternally as God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1)

• Creation = God created the universe (Genesis 1:1)

• God Rules = God is in charge (Psalms 24:1-2)

• God has Spoken = The Bible is God’s Word (Hebrews 1:1-2)

• The Fall = In Adam all humans are born under the power of sin (Romans 5:12)

• Truth = Truth exists (John 14:6)

• Marriage = A covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:18-25)

• The Incarnation = God became a human being in Jesus Christ (John 1:1,14)

• The Crucifixion = Jesus Christ died for our sins on the cross (1 Cor. 15:1-8)

• The Resurrection = Jesus rose from the dead and He will raise his people from the dead at the Second Coming (1 Cor. 15:20-28).

• Grace = God’s desire and power given as a gift (Ephesians 4:7)

• Salvation = Freedom from the presence, power, and penalty of sin received through faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8)

• The Church = God’s family in heaven and earth (Ephesians 3:14-15)

• The Second Coming of Christ = Jesus Christ shall return (Acts 1:11)

• Life = God is for life (John 10:10)

• Holy Spirit = The Holy Spirit indwells us, empowers us and renews us so that we can live righteously and bear good fruit. (Col 1:9-12)
